KELSI JOHNS
SR COPYWRITER // STORYTELLER

ABOUT ME
(Work mode: off)
It was never a question of whether I wanted to be a writer. From scribbling in my journal throughout my angsty years to winning a songwriting contest when I was 14, writing has always been a form of breathing.
Now, as one who must pay the bills, I choose to make money writing. I wouldn't have it any other way. I thrive off getting to know people who are different from me: hearing their stories, their heart, and what drives them. I also love asking questions, gaining fresh perspectives, and discovering what makes a brand—and the people behind it—so unique. That's the story that needs to be told. I love that discovery.
Portland is home and I love everything the PNW entails: the lush, green trails and spring blooms after a dark, rainy winter (as shown above, in my neighborhood!), the ever-evolving coffee/beer/food/wine/art scene, the abundance of roses, all of it.
Also: passionate advocate of the Oxford comma, a good pen, and a daily checklist.
